This film really appealed to me because it started with creative use of credits. I really liked the green uses of effects against the black background. I think it really created a spooky atmosphere because the use of colours were dominant and spooky. Secondly the font of the credits is sophisticated and elegant and I would definitely call this a Hollywood blockbuster. The use of CGI effects was fantastic, I was really fascinated by them and the shot of Levani’s arm gave me the goose bumps, therefore your product was successfully able to intrigue me. Thirdly, you definitely used the right conventions as I was able to easily guess that this film lies under the genre of Supernatural thriller. I think you successfully did this by the weather. I don’t know if this was intentional or not but i think the weather helped in representing this genre. Also the use of colours the character is wearing are gloomy reflecting on the wanted atmosphere.
this opening sequnce had amazing effects that made it very attarctive for the audiance to watch. i loved the location it was out of the ordinary very impressive, it really suited the storyline. this has to be the most talented peice of work i have seen keep it up.
The film 'Revenant' really impressed me. The camera shots were all consistent with the supernatural theme, the colour balance was correct and the camerawork was very steady. The shots were paced out evenly and correctly based on the genre.
The Props and costume were well suited with the supernatural thriller genre. The synthetic Blood added verisimilitude to the sequence and made it believable. The costume of the character attracted the audience pulling them to the film more, as they too can relate. The mise-en-scene created verisimilitude once again, the lighting adapted to the supernatural thrills, and adds to the tension and the fear of the movie.
The camera shots were all on-point, used for meaning and effect. The shot i liked the most was the point of view shot which followed with match-on-action of the character running into the mews. it really worked and it involved me in the movie as i felt as i was in his shoes, which was very 'thrilling'. this is then followed by a fast-paced tracking shot which adds to the thrills.
The story-line was well thought out, even though it an opening sequence and there was no need to explain the plot yet, it was still easily understood.
The CGI effects were produced and edited well and they added to the supernatural feel of the sequence. They were not overused, in fact they were used at the right moment. These effects added the 'supernatural' side to the sequence. In the very end of the sequence an effect was used to transform the face of character to frighten the audience, this added the final and greatest thrill and ended the sequence with a blow.
The actor was well picked out, he fit the audience very well, and addressed us as an audience very well as we could relate to him. He is stylish, dressed in casual wear that is appreciated by and gives an example to all young people in their target audience.
The soundtrack is very appropriate, the music is in tune with the opening sequence and it adds the great suspense that they were looking for. Their decision to have no dialogue created the effect of confusion. We do not know nothing about this character adding to the suspense.
As someone who is part of their target audience, i can say i really enjoyed the opening sequence and it really thrilled me. i would really like to see the rest of this film if it was to be made.

I thought that this was a great production as it has many effective shots with a mix of brilliant editing.
The story is straight forward and causes you to wander what's going to happen.
The fact that there was no dialogue and one continuous soundtrack was really clever and the ending was very unexpected.
Congrats to the whole team and well done
